I have been involved with Schema Therapy for over 20 years. My own personal growth using Schema Therapy inspired me to want to help others. I worked with Dr. Young and the NY-based Schema Therapy group after graduating from NYU with a masters degree in Social Work. My philosophy is that, you need to know both sides of the couch before you can help anyone. I have been told that my style is warm, relatable, and authentic. I am a highly interactive therapist, not a head nodder. I am an Advanced Certified Schema Therapist and Schema Therapy supervisor. In addition to ST, I use mindfulness-based therapy in my practice. My true passion is working with Schema Therapists and trainees in ST who want to work on their own schemas/modes. I work with people who are suffering from depression, anxiety, stress, as well as people who are struggling with career decisions and life changes. I have additional training in EMDR, ACT, Brene Brown’s work, and the Gottman method. I am currently accepting clients through telephone-online therapy as well as in person.
